Making Mappings More Manageable
We’re excited to announce the introduction of a new mapping experience for all our users. We’ve listened to your feedback and made mappings easier to manage with a new and improved mappings view within routing rules.
The new mappings view features several usability improvements and adjustments to functionality, simplifying how mappings are added and displayed.
Here are some highlights:
Unified Mapping Types: All mapping types are now consolidated on a single page with sections for easier reference to Outbound, Runtime, and Conversation mappings. Attachment mappings have been organized into their respective sections, Outbound and Conversation.
Enhanced Editing: Adding, moving, and removing mappings is now more intuitive, with hover actions displayed next to each cell. You can also duplicate mappings effortlessly!
Simplified Syntax: The ${} syntax is no longer required on the source side for simple mappings; it is only needed when mapping a combination of static text and attributes.
Improved Formatters: Formatters have been moved to a modal view accessible via the Fx icon, reducing clutter and making it easier to build and test formatters. Our language translation formatter has also been upgraded to a new and improved version.
The old and new mapping experiences will coexist for the coming months, with the old experience being deprecated by the end of the year. You may notice some inconsistencies while navigating the two views in edit mode. We encourage you to switch to the new view and let us know if there’s anything you’re missing from the old mappings!

Stay tuned for more updates, as mappings will soon become intelligent—artificially intelligent, that is!
We value your feedback. Please try out the new mappings view and let us know your thoughts below. If you encounter any issues or have suggestions, you can reach out to our support team. Your input helps us make continuous improvements to better serve you.
