New Feature: Sensitive Data Masking in Integration Ops Center

We’re pleased to announce the availability of Sensitive Data Masking in the ONEiO Integration Ops Center.

This feature helps reduce the risk of unintended exposure of sensitive or personally identifiable information (PII) when viewing integration messages in the ONEiO UI.

What’s new?

Sensitive Data Masking automatically detects and masks sensitive data before it is displayed in the ONEiO user interface, including:

  • Message views
  • Logs
  • Troubleshooting and operational workflows

The masking is powered by ONEAi, ONEiO’s AI capability for intelligent data processing. ONEAi enables context-aware detection of sensitive information, going beyond simple pattern matching to identify a broad range of personal and confidential data.

Masking applies only to the UI representation of integration data.
The actual data exchanged between connected systems is not modified in any way.

Why this matters

In real-world integrations, it is not always possible to fully control what users include in messages, comments, or free-text fields. As a result, sensitive data can be relayed between systems without teams being aware of it.

Sensitive Data Masking addresses this risk by ensuring that sensitive information is not visible to users, reducing the likelihood of accidental exposure through screenshots, copy-paste actions, exports, or support access.

How it works (high level)

  • When integration messages are requested in the ONEiO UI, selected fields are processed by ONEAi-powered Sensitive Data Masking
  • ONEAi analyzes the content and detects sensitive data elements using AI-based recognition
  • Detected values are replaced with masking tokens (e.g. *****, <EMAIL>, <SSN>)
  • Masked content is safely rendered in the UI

Integration behavior and message delivery remain unchanged.

Availability

Sensitive Data Masking is available as a subscription-based technical add-on to the ONEiO platform and is delivered as a fully managed service, operated and maintained by ONEiO.

If you would like to enable Sensitive Data Masking or learn more about how it fits into your security and compliance model, please contact your ONEiO representative.
