New feature: "Process only" action in routing rules
We are excited to introduce a brand new feature!
There is now an option in routing rules that makes possible to handle inbound messages or synchronous response messages without sending any outbound message. This is very useful in many cases where you would just need to set some values to your conversation variables for later use, but would not like to send any messages out. Earlier there was a need to send out some message to be able to accomplish this feature. This in many cases, caused a lot of false-positive errors, but not any more :)
You can start using this by just selecting the option from the action menu. All conditions and delays are available with this function, as are in normal "Route to target" -rules.
With this action, there are no outbound mappings available. In all other ways, they are operated like any other rule.
Please note that these "Process only" rules are run parallel to the "Route to target", and the order of execution is defined with the rule priorities. This means that you could do changes to conversation variables before or after the execution of your actual rule that routes the message. This might come handy in many situations as well.
