Response rules is oneio.app

We have finally released the possibility to handle response rules properly in oneio.app. Earlier you could manage the response rules that you had created in the old UI, but you were not able to add new ones.

We felt that the old UI's way was a little confusing, so we have taken a slightly different approach to this topic now. In the old UI, these rules were handled like any other rule. In many cases this caused confusion, since these rules are only used when some other rule has done it's work first.

Change #1:

Response rules are no longer visible by default in the rule list. The reason is that we want to, by default, show the list of rules that will react to messages sent to ONEiO. Response rules are secondary actions to these rules. You can make them visible by checking the box Show response rules.

Once visible, response rules are marked with [R]

Change #2

Response rules are created from the rule it should react to. If you navigate to a rule's tab Rule and Route, you can see all response rules that possibly could match to this rule currently. There is also Create new button, in case you need to create a new one.

Please note that in the list of a single rule, there can be multiple possible response rules. The amount of rules matched in the actual case is then depended on the conditions that the response rules have.

When creating a new one, UI will automatically set the mandatory elements so that you don't need to wonder. And since the limitation of response rules is that they can only be routed back to the origin that the normal rules had as the source, these values are locked.

I really hope that you like this setup and it will make the use of response rules more clear. Since this is a change to the prior, we would love to hear some thoughts how you see this now. We are always open for suggestions to make the use as intuitive as possible. You can post you thoughts here, or send a note to our support.
