Formatter tester is here!
I'm exited to announce that we have released a possibility to test the mapping formatters while building your routing rules!
Many of you have most likely used formatters with your mappings. When more simpler formatters (like truncate of capitalize) are relatively easy to configure, the more complex ones (like datetime and regex) have been a handful in many cases. From now on you can test your formatters output while building your rule. After selecting the formatter you can click Test and insert a string value that represents the potential value in the source attribute. The result will show what would be the output after the formatter has been executed.
Here's some examples:
Datetime
Regex
Replace
StripHTML
Lowercase
Trim
Truncate
Uppercase
Testing is now available for a single formatter. Since you can have multiple formatters in a single mapping, we will In the future we will make it possible to test also the whole chain at the same time. Stay tuned..
