New feature: Subscription Management Permission
Until now, only the Subscription Owner could view and edit subscription details and alert settings. That single point of access caused friction — especially when the business owner and the person actually making changes were different people. This release removes that bottleneck.
Subscription Management Permission
You can now assign a dedicated Subscription Management permission to any user. This grants the same access the Subscription Owner has, editing subscription details, managing alert settings, and assigning or removing this permission for others, without transferring ownership itself.
A few things to know:
- The permission is available across all subscription levels, not just Enterprise
- When this permission is active for a user, their other individual permission settings are locked to prevent conflicts
- If the permission is removed, all other permissions remain as they were — nothing is reset
- All changes to this permission are security audit logged
For Service Provider (SP) plans: the Service Provider Subscription Management permission works the same way, with one addition. Granting it at the SP level automatically grants Subscription Management permission across all Tenant Subscriptions under that Service Provider Subscription, so you don't have to configure each one separately. Users with this permission are visible in the SP view alongside the owner.
Why it matters: Subscription configuration shouldn't be gated behind a single account. This feature lets you distribute operational access properly, keeping ownership where it belongs while giving the people who actually manage integrations the access they need.
