Message States

Message States

A message can represent different states during transport from inbound received to successful send. All of the possible message states and, in case of errors their cause, are represented by icons in the ONEiO UI. Here is a complete list of states for messages sorted by inbound, routing, and outbound.

Inbound

Received successfully

Response transaction is shown as a moving green arrow to the right. Message status is shown as black.

Outbound and responses

Queued

The tooltip is based on the additional condition. Generally, it is:

This message is in the outbound queue. Some possible reasons for this:

  • A recoverable error is occurring while sending a message towards this endpoint. Sending of the first message will be automatically retried as long as the error occurs. Meanwhile, all subsequent messages towards the same endpoint, including this message, will be queued. If the recoverable error is resolved, or the sending is canceled, the next pending messages are released automatically in the order that they have been in the queue. Clicking this icon will redirect to the message that is having this issue.

  • The target endpoint is suspended

  • Some other delays in message processing

In the case of Starter and Professional plans, messages can be queued due to the subscription period having ended or the quota has been exceeded.

Subscription period ended

Tooltip: “Message is in the outbound queue. The subscription period has ended. Check your subscription period. Messages will automatically process when the quota is available unless canceled.”
